Thank you for your interest in the beach hut Deed of Family Arrangement.

This legal document was created by Richard Baylis (ex-Senior Partner Solicitor) and a team of lawyers to record his wishes and intentions regarding the future of the beach hut.

In simple terms, the document ringfences the beach hut so that in the future it will not form part of any matrimonial property if any disputes arise so that it can be kept within the Baylis family.

If you wish your beach hut to stay in your family for future generations, this document allows you to formally record and declare this.

The agreement was drafted specifically for the Baylis family and it will need to be amended to reflect your own family history.

The template is exactly as ours is laid out, you simply need to add the correct names and details in the areas specified in red on the document. We have left our family hut history details in the template document as an example of how you could fill yours out.

You should be aware that the document has not been tested in a court of law, but it is hoped that if all relevant parties sign the agreement and arrange their Wills accordingly then a court will take note of the family’s wishes.
