Instagram’s New Edits App is Launching Soon

Instagram is on the brink of launching a brand new video editing app called Edits.

It’s currently available for pre-order on the App Store now and is due to launch any day now.

From what we know so far, it will offer various features, including:

▪️ Projects tab - The app will allow users to have multiple projects on the go at once.

▪️ Enhanced video quality

▪️ Built-in AI features to turn static images into engaging videos

▪️New automatic captioning options

▪️ New cutout features to make your videos more dynamic

▪️ A new ‘Made with Edits’ label that will appear on Reels posted directly from Edits to Instagram.

Instagram has said that not all of these features will be available as soon as the app launches, some are still being built.

Nevertheless, the anticipation for the app launch is growing and there will be a frenzy to start testing and using it once it is released.

Early adopters will more than likely reap the most benefits from as the apps algorithms push fresh content created with the new technology. So there’s no harm in downloading it early, having a play with the features and getting a feel for it.

Remember, you don’t have to publish anything you create, you can just experiment and save your tests to drafts.

I’m mindful that for some, this app launch will be an exciting new tool and for others, it will just feel like yet another thing to learn 🤪.

My advice is if it feels like one thing to many, park it for a bit and check it out when you have more bandwidth.

It will be there when you are good and ready.
